Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis is a condition of excessive sweating. Most commonly the axillae (underarms), the hands, feet and the forehead are involved. When simple treatments like deodorants are not sufficient to control the sweating, Botox injections or liposuction of the axilla can help.
We are currently not offering Botox treatment for hyperhidrosis at our office.
Liposuction of the axilla is a one-time procedure to reduce the number of sweat glands. It is not covered by insurance. The procedure is done under local anesthesia. The surgery takes approximately 2 hours and patients can return to work within one or two days. Results are permanent.
